Christine M Eng, MD

Christine M Eng, MD is Professor and Vice Chair of Diagnostic Services in the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine and Chief Medical Officer and Chief Quality Officer of Baylor Genetics. Dr. Eng, a pediatrician and medical geneticist, received her BA from Yale University, her MD from Tulane University School of Medicine and was faculty at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York prior to joining Baylor in 2000. She is internationally recognized for contributions to the implementation of genomics in clinical practice, particularly the introduction of clinical whole exome sequencing and other uses of next-generation sequencing in pediatric and prenatal populations. She is senior author of articles in the NEJM and JAMA regarding exome sequencing and is principal investigator of the Genomic Sequencing Core for the National Institutes of Health funded Undiagnosed Diseases Network.
